A Call to Youth in Belgium: Culture of Peace Project
an article by The National Coordination of Action for Peace and Democracy - Belgium
The National Coordination of Action for Peace and Democracy (CNAPD) is seeking creative youth to take part in an artistic project on the themes of peace such as intercultural dialogue, nonviolence and conflict prevention. The work can be a theatrical play, photo exposition, fresco, etc. which speaks to other youth for a "culture of peace".

*If you are between 14 and 30 years old,
*If you are creative and wish to express yourself artistically,
*If you wish to meet other youth from different horizons,
Then this project is for you.
Through this project CNAPD gives voice to young citizens concerned about the plural and intercultural world around them and who wish to communicate the values of tolerance, solidarity and mutual respect by means of artistic and cultural work. For this, groups of 10-15 persons will be formed in order to make an artistic creation which will be displayed during the festival Two Weeks for Equal Opportunity and Diversity. Each group in which you will take part will be formed according to the artistic technique involved by a team of professionals.
As you can imagine, this project demands a certain effort on your part. A number of 3-6 hour sessions will be organized between the month of July and the month of November:
* Training in the thematics of interculturality, nonviolent communication and conflict prevention;
* A workshop for the artistic techniques involved (theatre, photography or painting);
* The completion of an artistic creation (conceptualization and realization);
* Organization of the "exposition" of the finalized creation.
By way of this experience you will have the opportunity to acquire, in a game-like way, new artistic techniques and experiences which can be of use to you in the future.
To take part, contact Sandrine Pierlot before June 30 2012 at 02/640.52.62 or sandrine.pierlot@cnapd.be
