Vania Masías será jurado del Concurso de Coreografías de Hip Hop en Peru

Con la finalidad de promover una cultura de paz y convivencia ciudadana, el 29 de junio la Municipalidad Metropolitana de Lima junto a la coreógrafa internacional, Vania Masías, presentaron el primer Concurso de Coreografías de Hip Hop, denominado Batalla de Crew: Rumbo al FICU 2012 en Lima Norte y Lima Este, respectivamente, donde grupos juveniles de los distritos participantes mostraron sus habilidades artísticas urbanas.

El evento metropolitano organizado por las coordinadoras de Programas Municipales de Juventud, la Municipalidad Metropolitana de Lima y la Asociación Cultural D1fue presentado en el Parque de la Exposición del Circuito Mágico del Agua por el subgerente de organizaciones juveniles, Marco Lozano Fernández y la bailarina Vania Masías.
Vania Masías, al respecto del Concurso de Coreografías mencionó: “Es un trabajo en equipo, me parece una iniciativa maravillosa de la Municipalidad de Lima al enterarse que había el FICU y se le ocurrió articularlo para así todos ayudarnos a promover entre los jóvenes el arte de las danzas urbanas. Así todos vamos para arriba, lo cual es el tipo de trabajo que necesitamos en nuestro país”.
Las actividades artísticas y culturales se realizarán el viernes 29 de junio en el Centro Cívico de Comas y el 30 de junio en la Plaza de Armas de Santa Anita, a partir de las tres de la tarde.
Los ganadores de ambos concursos pasarán automáticamente a la final de la ‘Batallas de Crew’ del Festival Cultural Internacional de Culturas Urbanas FICU a realizarse los días 6,7 y 8 de julio en el Parque de Lima.

ABOUT THE ADVENTURES OF KIALU FOR PEACE
1.INTRODUCTION
When we listen to the news, read the newspapers... a day doesn't pass without violence or a threat of violence. Our daily life is full of fear of harm; violencwe has escalated, it is everywhere: at home, at work places, at schools, on the streets,etc in every continent.
The solution to bring about and maintain a peaceful world lies in our hands, in our willingness and commitment to do what is good and peaceful to ourselves, to others and to the environment.
The Adventures of Kialu for Peace are a non-commercial, apolitical bi-monthly comic series, published by Jipa Moyo COMICS (jipa moyo is Kiswahili for take courage),whose objective is to promote a culture of peace.
2.TARGET GROUP: Young people.
3.THE COMIC SERIES
The Adventures of Kialu for peace are an ongoing serial publication. Each series focuses on a particular form of violence, abuse, depravity, anti-social behavior, environmental deterioration,etc. They are not only educational but also entertaining.
4.KIALU, THE HEROINE
4.1.WHO IS SHE?
Kialu is a brave girl from a small village in Africa who is serving humanity through her good deeds by the help of three powers contained in a magic stick that she acquired from an old woman.
4.2.WHY THE NAME OF KIALU?
The name "Kialu" has its origin from Bambole Kingdom, one of the vast Kingdoms in history of Africa. . ... continuation.
