Gilberto Gil will perform during the Festival of Music and Culture of Peace (Brazil)

On the 23 [of November], the Beach Park in
Fortaleza (CE), will host the Festival of Music
and Culture of Peace with shows by Gilberto Gil
and Toquinho, along with lectures by Sri Prem Baba
and William Ury, an event that will bring
together music, lectures and meditation to promote
the Culture of Peace. Love & Peace Rocks will be
the first edition of the itinerant international
festival, that will visit cities in Brazil and the
rest of the world beginning in 2014.

Besides Gil and Toquinho, the Festival includes
William Ury - specialist in Conflict Mediation
from the Harvard School of Negotiation, USA - and
Sri Prem Baba, a humanitarian leader who will
conduct workshops on culture of peace and
prosperity , based on the book Transforming
Suffering into Joy which will be launched at the
event .
The project, which has its world headquarters in
Hawaii ( USA ), is intended to foster peace and
universal love and will include yoga classes,
pilates, slackline and other practices related to
quality of life and well-being. "We are honored to
have been chosen as the first place to host such
an important event, which connects people on a
mission to reduce violence in the world," says
João Eduardo Guinle Gentil, the founder of Beach
Park .
