More than 200 people with disabilities, their family members, representatives from non-governmental and governmental organizations, as well as students from Universities joined the event. The aim of the peaceful march was to enhance public awareness of the rights of people with disabilities. The participants held many posters with slogans of their rights and appeals for creating equal opportunities for all.

Armenia ratified the Convention on the Rights of People with Disabilities in September, 2010, so the event was initiated once again to draw attention of state authorities to take steps to improve living condition and promote accessibility for people with disabilities.

At the end of the march, the participants wrote their wishes on colorful stickers, putting them on the balloons and let them fly in the sky, hoping that one day their wishes would come true. They also wanted show that they are powerful if united.
