The Advocates for Human Rights Call for Submissions
un article par Janet Hudgins
The Advocates for Human Rights, a NGO
campaigning to provide training to "Stop Violence
against Women," is looking for submissions if your
country is providing new legal recourse for abused
women. The goal is to reform laws everywhere to
protect women's human rights.

"The manual Women's Human Rights Step by Step
defines the main goals of women's human rights
advocacy as the following:
* To increase the understanding of human rights to
include abuses suffered predominantly by women;
* To expand the scope of State responsibility for
protection of women's human rights in both the
public and private sphere; and
* To improve the effectiveness of the human rights
system at the national and international level to
both enforce women's human rights and also to hold
abusers accountable.
They want to hear from you if your country is
incorporating: new laws, rules or regulations,
programmes, or promising practices that address
maltreatment of widows, dowry-related violence,
sexual harassment, "honour" crimes, advocating for
new laws or reforming of existing laws,
implementing new laws, or monitoring of laws in
your country.
The call for submissions is here.
