Taguatinga Film Festival accepting registration until the 30th ( Brazil )

The 11th edition of the Taguatinga Film Festival, which will take place between 19 and 22 March at the Theatre Square of Taguatinga (D ), has open enrollment until January 30. Those who are interested can register online and free for films up to 20 minutes long. This year the central theme of the festival is the diffusion of the culture of peace, through discussion of good social interaction, ecology, humanization of cities and urban and social kindness.

Movies made since 2011 in any format are accepted, provided they have not been entered in in previous editions of the festival. Registration made be made on the festival site and the works should be sent by any video hosting site such as Youtube and Vimeo, for example. Works sent by post will only be accepted in exceptional cases. For more information about the registration process and submission, see the regulations.

Twenty four works will be selected, ten by popular vote on the festival website, ten entered via internet and selected by the judges and four at the invitation of the festival . All sessions have a competitive nature, and winners are chosen by popular vote . The films compete for cash prizes in the amounts of U.S. $5000 for the most voted, $2000 for the second most voted and one thousand dollars for the third.

The Taguatinga Film Festival aims to promote the exchange of film productions from all over Brazil and to stimulate the production of independent, artistic, poetic, experimental films and first film productions.
