GLOBAL MOVEMENT FOR A CULTURE OF PEACE

Dear CPNN readers and reporters,

Thank you for your many replies to our questionnaire with the February bulletin, as we try to improve CPNN's coverage of the Global Movement for a Culture of Peace. Here are the results.

Your use of CPNN: 70% activism, 38% work, 23% research, 8% information, 5% networking and 5% use in school.

82% of you agreed to write articles from time to time for CPNN. This is especially important because CPNN was designed to have readers contribute most of the articles. Also, 82% of you agreed to suggest to your friends to subscribe to this bulletin.

Most of you considered the design and content of CPNN and the bulletin to be good.

However, three responses consider the bulletin design is poor, and several others consider the bulletin design to be only OK. We are taking that into consideration and we are changing the design of the bulletin beginning with this issue, as you see here.

Several of you suggested that CPNN should publish more articles about the grassroots activities of

"ordinary people", including more personal accounts of how people have become active, and we will welcome such articles from you.

You also suggested that we include videos on CPNN, and we agree with this, since more and more we find videos on the Internet that promote a culture of peace. Hence, beginning now both the bulletin and CPNN will feature the review of a video and a link to it at the top of the page. Please keep this in mind and send us brief reviews of videos that promote one or more of the eight domains of the culture of peace.

You will see many articles written this month by students in Guadalajara, Mexico. There are now 24 new reporters from Mexico, and if you add also the 35 responders who said they would write articles for CPNN, there are now over 120 reporters.

See below for the most recent articles.
