The CPNN Peace Promoter

CPNN-USA is a network composed of people like you, the reader. We live throughout the United States and believe in the values of the eight peace keys. We know that people everywhere and everyday are quietly contributing to creating a culture of peace based on these values, but their actions are often overlooked by the commercial media. CPNN is a place to find this news.

In our first year CPNN has grown to have over 400 subscribers, contributors and moderators. We have noticed that most CPNN articles, events and comments come from direct person-to-person contact and e-mails. The personal approach seems to work best, since an Internet website can feel very impersonal.

Thus, we want to recognize and encourage those of you who have promoted CPNN with a personal touch. And we want to encourage new "CPNN peace promoters" to carry the torch.

Here are some of the ways you have been promoting CPNN

* You see something that would be an appropriate report and write it up or suggest to the original author to send it directly to CPNN at Submit a Peace Report.

* You invite friends and acquaintances to send you reports, events or comments or to send them directly to CPNN.

* You speak about CPNN at conferences, schools, clubs and other groups, and suggest that they submit news, events or comments either directly or through you. Please note that we can send you the following double-sided CPNN palmcards to use with these groups.

* You specialize in promoting a particular subject, such as preserving the planet or equality for women, or writing movie or book reviews.

* You publicize CPNN through other media such as Internet listserves, local newspapers or radio talk shows or by putting a link on your group's Internet site.

* You exchange experiences with other CPNN Promoters on the special discussion forum (only accessible to promoters) of the Discussion Board.

If you wish to meet with other peace promoters in your area, we will help you get in contact with them and facilitate your getting together.
